Salon Etiquette

You can find some information below on how to have an awesome hair appointment.

Hey Bestie!

As a new client, you are required to come in for a scheduled complimentary consultation so I can thoroughly take a look at your hair and your hair goals. It also allows me to customize the perfect hairstyle and regimen for you as well as provide an accurate price quote so there are no surprises!

So fresh and so, clean, clean-

Did you know that fresh, dry, and clean hair takes color best? I recommend you wash, deep condition, and dry your hair completely with minimal products 24 hours before your appointment for the best results.

If you are early, you are on time!

I love to have a thorough consultation before your appointment to ensure success. Arriving 5-10 minutes before your service is encouraged. Please allow ample time to find parking as sometimes street parking can be limited. I will always do my best to stay on time, and arriving a few minutes early will help me out.

Your time is so valuable to me!

This is not common, but if for any reason I am running 10 minutes or more behind for your upcoming visit, I will text you before your appointment for a delayed arrival.

Running late?

Please send me a text if you are running late on the day of your appointment. I understand life happens, so I will always do my best to accommodate. If you are more than 15 minutes late, you may have to forfeit your appointment completely and pay 50% of the scheduled service. I don't want that! I pride myself on running on time for each of my guests. One late client will put my whole day behind, which leads to unhappy guests.

Ch-ch-ch-changes....

No problem! Please give at least 48 hours' notice when rebooking or canceling online. If less than 24 hours' notice is given, a cancellation/reschedule fee of 50% of the scheduled service will be charged. Please understand that when you forget to cancel your appointment, I miss the opportunity to fill that appointment time. My appointments are confirmed 48 hours in advance. The card on file will be charged on the day of the scheduled service. I understand that extraordinary things do happen, and I will do my best to be as understanding as possible to any situations that may result in cancellation.

Don't forget ;)

As a courtesy, 48 hours before your appointment, you will receive a confirmation text. Please remember it is your responsibility to remember your appointment dates and times to avoid late arrivals, missed/canceled appointments, and the cancellation fee.

Don't ghost me!

If you do not reach out to cancel or reschedule and do not show up on the scheduled date/time of your appointment, you will be charged 50% of the scheduled service price that day. I will contact you at the 15-minute mark. If it becomes 30 minutes past the scheduled appointment time, with no contact towards me, it will be considered a no call/show. Without any notice, I am unable to accommodate guests who are waiting to have fabulous hair!

Let's talk Redo...

I take pride in the services given. Client redos will only be honored if contacted within 3 days of the original service. If you are unsatisfied, I would like for you to reach out and communicate with me so we may come up with a solution. If the hair is altered by another salon or yourself, the redo policy is void. Due to the artistic nature of what I do, I cannot offer refunds on hair services performed. However, I will work tirelessly to ensure you are satisfied!

Uh oh...!

Color corrections require a complimentary consultation before a hair appointment. Please note: Pricing is by the hour. I would love to talk more in-person to see the quality of your hair, the style that would look best, and provide a more accurate price quote.

Payment$

I provide each guest with a complimentary, custom quote before your visit so you know exactly what you will pay on the day of your visit. No surprises! On the day of your scheduled appointment, we will review your consultation form and confirm your quote before starting.

I accept the following payments:

All major credit cards

Cash

Love your kids! Just not in the salon...

The salon is full of hot tools, sharp items, and chemicals. For the safety of your little ones, I kindly ask that they not be in the salon. I am open to those who are 14 years old and up for any chemical services (those under 16 require a parent to be present for services).

Service animals

Service animals are always welcomed! Unfortunately, for safety reasons, our state does not allow non-service animals in the salon.

One LAST thing

The following information is important to know if you are a client receiving a color/chemical service:

Color history and the use of medications must be divulged when consulting with your stylist. If you are currently under the care of an MD, it is your responsibility to research if color services are compatible with any prescription medication or cancer treatment that you are currently being treated with, or have used prior to your color appointment. I am not a trained medical physician.

Below is a list of items to address with your colorist prior to your appointment, as these items may cause negative chemical reactions to the hair when mixed with salon chemicals services:

- Previously over-processed hair: by repeatedly layering dyes over porous pre-lightened hair.

- Taking prescription medication: that inadvertently alters the bonds of the hair (methotrexate, sulfa-based medications).

- Thermal damage: by overuse of hot tools.

- Use of metallic dyes, salts, or minerals: (box color) or use of "over mineralized well water" chemicals may cause a negative reaction to enlightenment services.

- Use of henna or vegetable dyes: chemicals may cause a negative reaction to enlightenment services.

- Permed or relaxed hair: chemicals may cause a negative reaction to enlightenment services.

**It is my priority to conduct thorough consultations for all services provided through the salon; however, it is each client's responsibility to be upfront and honest about their hair history and to research the items listed above. Any damage caused to the hair as a result of undivulged information during the consultation is not the responsibility of the stylist.**

Thank you for your support and understanding of our salon policies.

I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
